Description CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - Westover Hills (CSRH-WH) is a 150-bed hospital serving the fastest growing area of San Antonio. Specialized care includes orthopedic and surgical services, ICU, women's services, a newborn nursery, comprehensive cardiovascular care from diagnostics to open heart surgery, vascular lab, sleep center, emergency services, the CHRISTUS Weight Loss Institute, wound care, rehabilitation, and more. Summary: This position is responsible for coordinating the referral/authorization of the clinic and assisting the Director in the operational performance of the Hospital Outpatient Department (HOPD). This includes but is not limited to: obtaining authorizations for all patient services, answering phones, making appointments, chart creation, and filing, assisting patients with payment arrangements and insurances related issues. Responsibilities: Obtains authorizations for clinic visits, clinic procedures, and minor surgeries. Calls to obtain patient's diagnostic codes from other sites as needed. Handles payment transactions to include balancing at the end of the day. Enters referral/authorization information appropriately and completely as needed. Contacts patients to resolve appointments, authorizations and payment difficulties or arrange satisfactory payment plans. Aids patients to improve customer service. Coordinates resolution of problems with PCP offices and Imaging Facilities and ensures compliance with regulations and standards. Description Summary: Performs clinical testing in assigned section/s such as general laboratory, Blood Bank and Microbiology sections, with all duties necessary for accurate and timely results including quality control, performance improvement, proficiency testing, and preventative maintenance of equipment. Recognizes abnormal critical values and follows proper guidelines for notifying medical team members of results. Performs clerical, general, and phlebotomy duties related to daily operations in the laboratory. Provides/dispenses blood products as requested by medical staff. Description Summary: The CRNA has the responsibility and accountability for providing advanced nurse practice while administering anesthesia to patients. We do 4000 diagnostic and 900 interventional cardiology and peripheral procedures annually.
