Job Description Job Description Senior Staff Accountant At 2020 Exhibits, we create custom exhibits for trade shows and events. We specialize in designing, fabricating, installing and dismantling custom and rental exhibits, custom multi family signage, and engaging environments throughout the country. We are currently looking for a Senior Staff Accountant to join our team. The Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the organization's accounting operations by ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, preparing financial reports, assisting with month-end and year-end close processes, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards and company policies. This position will report to the Controller. Schedule: Full-time M-F 8-5 Location: Onsite Competitive compensation-based on education & experience Essential Duties and Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger. Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations. Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities. Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and ad hoc reports. Analyze financial data, identify variances, and provide recommendations. Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules. Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other balance sheet accounts. Support annual audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests. Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal controls. Review accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions for accuracy when needed. Prepare and file sales tax and other required tax reports. Identify opportunities to improve accounting procedures and operational efficiencies. Mentor and provide guidance to Staff Accountants and Accounting support. Maintain confidentiality of financial information. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required. Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience. Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements. Experience with ERP/accounting software and Microsoft Excel Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
