Job Description Job Description Weld Your Way to the Top with KLOVER! Position: Welder I-III Hours: Monday-Thursday, 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM Pay Range: $19-$30/hour + $2/hour Night Shift Bonus Location: Quakertown, PA The Welder is introduced to the prefabrication of exterior and interior wall panels for commercial buildings. Additionally, the Welder I receives training on various welding and assembling techniques as it pertains to wall panel production and installation. Approval for all work is required prior to the Welder I completing any tasks. Essential (Core Competencies) Duties Read and interpret shop drawings. Gather and collect materials. Accurately measure and cut miscellaneous materials. Perform panel layout in accordance with drawings. Pre-assemble panel components in preparation for weld. Perform welds to ensure panel stays secured. Assist in securing completed wall assembly onto crane, lift off jigs and move to the next operation. Attends and/or completes welder and safety training (through KLOVER Learning Management System) as required by management. Marginal Functions Perform sheathing of welded panels. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications / Required Education and Experience High school diploma or GED. 1 year of experience with MIG welding (can be a combination of pre or post-secondary vocational education in welding and work experience). Ability and willingness to gain proper welding certifications within two years of employment. Qualification / Preferred Education and Experience 1+ year MIG welding experience (can be a combination of pre or post-secondary vocational education in welding and work experience). Experience in a manufacturing environment. Trade school/vocational education in construction/carpentry and/or commercial carpentry experience. Key Competencies The ability to achieve thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task through concern for all areas involved. The need to be self-motivated to grow personally and professionally through on-going education as a result of the rate of change in the position. Work Environment The work environment will consist mainly of heavy work in a manufacturing environment. There may be some exposure to seasonal humidity and extreme heat over 85 degrees, excessive noise, and some vibration associated with the use of tools and equipment. Some hazards such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, caustic chemical, and slippery and uneven walking surfaces exist. Job Description Job Description Ironworker / Field Welder 70 Mile Radius from Quakertown, PA General Summary of Position The Structural Welder position is expected to produce welds that support the installation of exterior and interior wall panels for commercial buildings. Essential (Core Competencies) Duties Perform welds using stick and mig processes in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions. Current AWS D1. 1 SMAW 3G and AWS D1. 1 SMAW 4G certifications, AWS D1. 5 SMAW 3G and 4G preferred. Maneuver units into position for installation and anchor the units. Fabricate or alter parts using shears, hammers, punches, or drills. Assist foreman with proper layout for work to be put in place. Accurately measure and read height, width, length, and other proportions with a tape measure Use levels, rules, plumb bobs, framing squares, and lasers to ensure everything is level and secure. Work at heights with several elevated platforms. Keep work area clean and productive. Always exercise the proper use of PPE. Set up and safely use company equipment. Maintain welding certification through maintenance logs and supervisor observation. Qualifications Preferred Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED. Participation in a secondary or post-secondary trade curriculum. 1+ year experience with stick welding. Field carpentry experience preferred. Knowledge and understanding of construction safety devices and PPE.
