Job Description Job Description Serpentix Conveyor is seeking to fill immediate roles, during first shift (Mon-Fri, 8:00am-5:00pm) for an entry level to immediate experienced Press Brake Operators and/or Flat-Sheet Laser Operators to join our dynamic fabrication team. This role is responsible for the precise setup and operation of our laser and press brake machines to produce high-quality metal components. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of metal fabrication, reads blueprints fluently, and is committed to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Key Responsibilities: • Set up, program, and operate CNC laser cutting and Cincinnati press brake equipment. • Read and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine project specifications. • Select and install appropriate tooling and dies for the press brake, and adjust laser cutting parameters based on material type and thickness. • Safely load and unload raw materials, such as metal sheets and plates, onto the laser and press brake machines. • Perform quality control inspections on finished parts using precision measurement tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure they meet exact tolerances. • Identify and troubleshoot machine malfunctions, cutting irregularities, or other issues that arise during production. • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on the machines and surrounding work area to ensure optimal performance and safety. • Maintain accurate documentation of production output, quality checks, and maintenance activities. • Collaborate with supervisors and other team members to optimize production processes and meet deadlines. • Adhere to all safety protocols and company regulations. Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED equivalent. • minimum 2 years of proven experience operating CNC laser cutting and/or press brake machines. • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders. • Strong understanding of different metals, such as carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, and their specific properties for cutting and forming. • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills for measuring and adjusting machine settings. • Ability to use and read precision measurement tools. • Experience with CAD/CAM software is a plus. • Proficient computer skills to operate and navigate a Windows Explorer file system and basic Microsoft applications. • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift or move materials up to 75 pounds. • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Preferred Skills (Optional): • Experience with Cincinnati Incorporated lasers and/or press brake equipment. • Prior experience with nesting software to maximize material yield.
