Key Responsibilities Set up and operate milling machines according to production requirements. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to ensure accurate production. Install and adjust cutting tools, fixtures, and machine attachments for each job. Operate CNC-controlled or manual milling equipment as required. Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to verify quality and dimensional accuracy. Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain production efficiency and product quality. Perform routine equipment maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and basic preventative maintenance. Identify and troubleshoot machine or production issues, reporting concerns when necessary to minimize downtime. Record production information, machine performance, and quality inspection results. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all company safety procedures. Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED preferred. No prior manufacturing or machining experience required. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, walk, and bend for extended periods. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. Mechanical aptitude and interest in working with tools and industrial equipment. Basic math skills and the ability to read measuring devices, including tape measures and calipers. Willingness to learn new skills and follow established procedures. Preferred Qualifications Previous manufacturing, machining, fabrication, or industrial experience. Familiarity with CNC equipment or machine shop environments. Experience using precision measuring instruments. Skills & Competencies Strong work ethic and dependable attendance. Ability to follow instructions and work independently after training. Work Environment This position is performed in a manufacturing facility where employees work around industrial machinery and equipment. The environment may include exposure to noise, heat, moving mechanical parts, dust, and sparks.
