Job Description Job Description Manda Machine Company is seeking an experienced CNC Mill Machinist to join our milling department. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in precision work, understands process discipline, and values a clean, organized, and quality-driven shop. We are a stable aerospace and defense machine shop focused on tight-tolerance machining, consistency, and doing the job right the first time. This is a hands-on role for experienced CNC machinists-not production operators. Applicants should be comfortable independently setting up and running CNC mills, making offsets, troubleshooting issues, and inspecting parts to print. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of hands-on CNC milling experience Strong setup experience on CNC mills Experience operating 3-axis, 3+2, and/or 5-axis CNC mills Strong understanding of G-code fundamentals Ability to read blueprints and inspect parts to customer drawings and specifications Working knowledge of GD&T Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Experience machining aluminum, stainless, and hardened materials Basic computer skills for ERP and job tracking Preferred: CAM programming experience AS9100 aerospace machining experience Experience with tight-tolerance parts (.0005" and under) Responsibilities Set up and run CNC mills using setup sheets, tool lists, and work instructions Load tools, set offsets, indicate fixtures, and prove out jobs Perform in-process and final inspections to verify compliance Make offsets and machining adjustments as needed Troubleshoot machining issues and communicate process concerns Perform basic machine maintenance and care Accurately log production activity in ProShop ERP Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Support team priorities to keep jobs moving efficiently Not a fit: Production-only machine operators Router/cabinet shop backgrounds Assembly-only backgrounds Applicants without metal machining experience
