Position Summary The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers within the construction, industrial, and commercial markets. This role focuses on promoting and renting construction equipment, identifying customer needs, and providing solutions that support jobsite productivity and efficiency. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, customer-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple accounts and projects. Key Responsibilities Identify, prospect, and develop new customer relationships within assigned territory Actively pursue new rental opportunities with contractors, construction companies, municipalities, and industrial clients Conduct regular jobsite visits to promote rental equipment and services Maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure repeat business Serve as the primary point of contact for customer rental needs Resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally Achieve or exceed monthly and annual sales targets Promote rental equipment, attachments, and related services Prepare and present rental quotes and proposals Market Awareness Monitor local construction activity and industry trends Identify upcoming projects and bid opportunities Track competitor activity and pricing within the territory Internal Coordination Work closely with dispatch, service, and operations teams to ensure equipment availability and timely delivery Communicate customer needs to ensure excellent service and equipment readiness Qualifications 2+ years of outside sales experience (construction or equipment rental preferred) Strong knowledge of construction equipment and jobsite operations is a plus Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills Self-motivated with strong time management and organizational abilities Ability to work independently while managing a territory Education & Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred Valid driver's license with ability to travel throughout assigned territory Physical & Work Environment Frequent travel within assigned territory Regular visits to construction jobsites Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Occasional lifting of equipment attachments or demonstration materials Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary plus commission structure Company vehicle Health, dental, and vision insurance and paid time off Ongoing training and career development opportunities
