Job Description Job Description Company Overview: Scotia Engineering, Inc. is a growing precision machine shop in Santa Fe Springs serving aerospace and industrial customers. We're a small, efficient team that values quality, autonomy, and results. You'll have real responsibility and the satisfaction of turning your programming into finished parts. Job Description: We're hiring a CNC Programmer who can take a job from print to part. You'll program using MasterCam at a dedicated workstation, then set up and run your own jobs on Haas or Fanuc machines . You'll also make program edits as needed, either in MasterCam or at the machine. This is not a button-pushing role . We need a skilled programmer who can also handle machining. Core Responsibilities: Programming (Primary) Program CNC parts using MasterCam (mostly milling, some turning) Post-process and transfer code to Haas/Fanuc machines Edit G-code at the machine when needed Machining (Secondary) Set up and run the jobs you've programmed Inspect parts using conventional measurement tools (i.e., calipers, micrometers, etc.) and make adjustments as needed Document setups, suggest process improvements, and maintain a clean and efficient workstation Required Experience: 3-5+ years of programming with MasterCam software Confident with Haas and/or Fanuc controls Able to go from print to finished part , including programming, setup, and first article Strong knowledge of tooling, feeds/speeds, and shop math Preferred Qualifications: 5-7 years of programming/setup experience Tight-tolerance or aerospace experience Comfortable troubleshooting and improving processes Not a Fit If: You've only made light edits at the machine You rely on others for setups or programming You don't regularly use MasterCam Work Environment: Monday-Friday day shift ( 40-45 hours/week) Small-team, hands-on shop Results-focused with no bureaucracy Compensation: $28-$38/hour (DOE) Overtime eligible PTO accrual Company-provided work shirts More benefits under review-ask during the interview!
