Job Description Job Description Job Responsibilities Responsible for producing quality parts on CNC machines, including but not limited to lathes and milling machines, in a timely, safe, and efficient manner Operate CNC machines, perform setup changes, and conduct first article inspections for production runs Load parts using overhead lifting equipment Prove programs, operate controls, set offsets, perform simple program edits, deburr parts, and inspect finished components to ensure conformance to requirements Identify potential issues prior to production runs; start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions and make necessary adjustments Read and interpret blueprints, job orders, and precision measuring instruments to determine dimensions, tolerances, and tooling requirements Maintain working knowledge of tooling instructions, including fixtures, feed rates, cutting speeds, depth of cut, and appropriate cutting tools Prove out new programs and perform simple edits to NC programs on one or more CNC machines Maintain a clean and organized work area and perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment Perform other work-related duties as assigned Comply with all Company and Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures Behavioral Competencies Ability to adapt to a fluctuating work environment Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Willingness to work weekends and overtime as required Effective communication skills Must be reliable and punctual Technical Competencies Knowledge of CNC machine setup and operation Ability to edit CNC programs Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications Knowledge of dimensional and tolerance measurements Proficiency with precision measuring instruments Basic computer skills Working knowledge of various tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, and inserts used across multiple machines Advanced ability to read drawings and specifications, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) Advanced knowledge of precision measuring instruments, including but not limited to calipers, ID/OD micrometers, depth gauges, indicators, and tape measures Advanced understanding of programmed segments and corresponding machine operations Benefits Insurance Benefits Education & Experience Education certification NOT Required, but MUST possess the following: Ability to analyze situations, identify potential issues, and take appropriate corrective action Demonstrates practical, hands-on problem-solving ability in a manufacturing environment Ability to recognize abnormal conditions and respond appropriately Safety-focused (very effective for CNC roles) Ability to exercise good judgment and situational awareness while operating machinery Applies logical thinking to ensure safe and efficient machine operation We will also assist and provide training if there is any aspect to the job duties that you may not be 100% confident in.
