This role manages production workflows from prepress file prep through final output and oversees quality standards across multiple digital printing platforms. The Press Operator II must have strong troubleshooting ability, deep knowledge of digital printing systems, a robust understanding of color management and print concepts, and the ability to prioritize jobs in a deadline-driven, high-volume environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Operates Xerox iGen and Xerox Iridesse digital presses, managing daily print queues and color calibration. Preps and prints digital jobs using EFI Fiery Command Workstation and Adobe software. Reviews and preflights files, verifying artwork specs including bleeds, trim, and color space. Prints and inspects sample proofs and production runs for accuracy and quality. Troubleshoots print and press issues in real time to minimize downtime. Operates offline finishing equipment, including a UV coater and a soft-touch lamination machine. Performs daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance on presses; coordinates with tech support. Manages consumable inventory and communicates supply needs. Assists with job scheduling, prioritization, and workflow organization. Understands and can effectively use Adobe Creative Suite, Enfocus PitStop Pro, and EFI Fiery Command Workstation, amongst other print software technologies. Trains and mentors Press Operator I staff on equipment operation and print standards. Collaborates with internal teams on design adjustments, scheduling, and output feasibility. Ensures safe operation of all pressroom equipment. Performs other duties as assigned. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business publications. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers. TECHNICAL SKILLS Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Print software experience as outlined above. Willingness to learn color calibration, registration alignment, and digital file prep. Workflow Processor Department: Workflow & Fulfillment Reports To: Director of Workflow & Fulfillment Position Summary The Workflow Processor plays a key role in supporting the end-to-end workflow for print and direct mail projects. This position is responsible for processing customer orders, preparing mailing data, maintaining product information within internal systems, and ensuring accurate job setup for production. Working closely with Sales, Account Management, Customer Service, and Production, the Workflow Processor helps ensure projects are processed efficiently, meet quality standards, and are delivered on time.
