Job Description Job Description Duration: 12 Months Shift: 2nd Monday-Thursday, 3:30pm-12:00pm. Payrate: $24-$30/hr on W2. Position Summary The Engineering Technician IV supports engineering and manufacturing teams by performing complex testing, troubleshooting, validation, and development activities on products, systems, and equipment. This role works closely with engineers to diagnose technical issues, conduct tests, collect and analyze data, and implement solutions that improve product performance and reliability. Key Responsibilities • Perform engineering tests, checkouts, and development activities on hardware and software systems. • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment, assemblies, and components to the component level. • Analyze test results and recommend corrective actions to resolve technical issues. • Set up, operate, and maintain test equipment used for product development and validation. • Conduct operational and functional testing to ensure products meet design specifications. • Assemble, modify, and fabricate mechanical and electronic components as required. • Document test procedures, results, observations, and recommended improvements. • Maintain engineering documentation, software revisions, and equipment configurations. • Assist engineers with product development, validation, and process improvement initiatives. • Support quality, reliability, and continuous improvement efforts. • Train and assist technicians and operators on equipment, products, and processes. • Organize technical documentation including specifications, schematics, and procedures. Qualifications Education • Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Electronics, Mechanical Technology, or related field; OR • Military technical training, vocational training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience • Minimum 2 years of related engineering technician, manufacturing, electronics, or testing experience. Required Skills • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems. • Experience using engineering test equipment and diagnostic tools. • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and work instructions. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and technical documentation. • Effective verbal and written communication skills. • Basic understanding of statistical analysis and mathematical concepts used in testing and quality control. Physical Requirements • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift. • Ability to handle small components and use hand tools. • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. • Requires close vision, color vision, and depth perception. Work Environment • Manufacturing, laboratory, or engineering development environment. • May be exposed to moving mechanical equipment, electrical systems, and other industrial conditions while following all safety procedures.
