Job DescriptionJob Description Cornhusker International Trucks, Inc. is hiring a full-time Heavy Duty Truck Body Shop Technician to join our team If you have experience in truck or automotive body repair and are skilled with welding equipment, paint equipment, shop tools, this is an opportunity to grow in your career with a stable, family-owned company. Schedule Monday through Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Pay $25.00 - $30.00 per hour Based on experience Benefits Competitive hourly rate Opportunities for career advancement Family-owned, team-oriented culture Boot and safety eyeglass allowance Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(K) retirement plan Vacation, sick, and holiday pay Key Responsibilities Review repair orders and estimates to identify required parts and scope of work Perform sheet metal, fiberglass, and panel repairs Complete fabrication and structural welding, including aluminum welding Install and align truck cab body components Perform electrical and mechanical body-related repairs Tear down equipment to inspect for hidden or additional damage Communicate supplemental repair needs to estimators and supervisors Follow warranty guidelines and manufacturer repair standards Remove and install decals as needed Replace radiators, CAC units, condensers, and other components Inspect, repair, and maintain trailer structural and suspension systems Road test vehicles to ensure safe operation Maintain accurate repair and maintenance records Lead or mentor apprentice technicians when applicable Skills and Experience Minimum of 5 years of truck or automotive body shop experience Experience with fiberglass repair, panel straightening, and filling Review repair orders and estimates to identify required parts and scope of work Structural welding experience preferred; willing and oxy-acetylene cutting procedures Proficient with hand, air, and power tools used in body repair Basic computer skills for documentation Strong attention to detail and ability to meet repair timelines Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to work well in a team environment Preferred Certifications ASE Certifications in Damage Analysis and Estimating Mechanical and Electrical Components certification Non-Structural Analysis and Damage Repair certification State Vehicle Inspector certification Equivalent experience and commitment to continued training considered Requirements Valid driver's license with clean driving record High School diploma or GED Ability to pass a background check Cornhusker International Trucks, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer!
