Job Description: The basic functions of our Sprinkler Technician will be to service and repair wet, dry and pre-action fire suppression systems, and to conduct routine preventative maintenance on fire sprinkler suppression systems, including repair and testing of backflow preventers. Our ideal candidate will be customer focused and able to work diligently whether part of a team or individually. Responsibilities: Conduct routine preventative maintenance on fire sprinkler suppression systems. Manual labor including lifting, climbing and clean up. Service and repair of wet, dry and pre-action fire suppression systems in strict accordance with applicable codes and standards. Flow testing of fire hydrants. Highly organized, motivated team player. Preferred experience in testing and repairing backflow prevention devices. Interact with customers in a professional manner. Ability to follow direction and work independently when needed. Other duties and responsibilities when assigned as needed. Punctual, reliable. Have the ability to work safely with a threading machine, battery operated hand tools, and basic hand tools regularly. Ability the read blueprints. Knowledge on how to repair deficiencies and return the system back to working order to ensure customer compliance. Minimum Requirements: Minimum 3 years, independent field experience. Experience with Fire Protection Systems and components. Mechanically inclined. Strong attention to detail. Valid driver's license. Positive attitude and willingness to obtain progressive certifications within the industry and NFPA applicable permitting and licensing. Prefer intermediate sprinkler layout understanding.
