Primary Responsibilities Patient Consultations : Conduct thorough patient consultations, taking detailed medical histories, performing comprehensive physical examinations, and assessing patients' overall health status. Diagnosis and Treatment : Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions, prescribing medications, therapies, and other interventions as necessary. Preventive Care : Implement preventive healthcare strategies, including routine screenings, vaccinations, and lifestyle counseling, to promote disease prevention and early detection. Chronic Disease Management : Manage patients with chronic conditions, develop personalized care plans, monitor disease progression, and adjust treatment regimens as needed to improve patient outcomes. Health Promotion and Education : Educate patients about healthy lifestyle choices, disease management, and self-care practices to empower them to actively participate in their healthcare. Referrals and Coordination : Collaborate with specialists and healthcare professionals to coordinate patient referrals, ensuring comprehensive and coordinated care for complex medical cases. Electronic Health Records (EHR) : Document all patient interactions, assessments, treatments, and care plans accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record (EHR) system. Health Advocacy : Advocate for patients' healthcare needs, ensuring that they receive appropriate and timely medical services and resources. Continuity of Care : Establish and maintain strong doctor-patient relationships, providing ongoing care, follow-up, and support as needed. Quality Improvement : Participate in quality improvement initiatives, adherence to evidence-based guidelines, and clinical audits to enhance patient safety and care standards. Professional Development : Stay abreast of medical advancements, research, and best practices to continuously improve medical knowledge and clinical skills. Job Requirements Education and Experience: Completion of a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from an accredited medical school and Texas State. Licensed to practice as a Physician/MD in Texas. Complete a residency program in Internal Medicine and Family Medicine. Current Certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Infection Control Training with a strong understanding of HIPAA Compliance. Valid DEA Registration. Experience in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Participate in staff training, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives. Qualifications and Skills: Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. Board certification in Psychiatry. Valid medical license to practice in Texas. Strong knowledge of psychiatric disorders, treatment modalities, and psychopharmacology. Excellent diagnostic and decision-making skills. Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting. Subspecialty training or certification in areas such as child and adolescent psychiatry. License/Certification: Medical License (Required) Work Location: In person
