Description: Experienced Tool and Die Maker (1st Shift, Full-Time) $26.00-$36.00/hour Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00am-2:00pm POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Plant Manager or Team Lead, the Experienced Tool and Die Maker will perform all bench and machine operations to construct, alter, and repair tools, dies, and gages requiring skill and a basic knowledge of tooling practice and application. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Works from blueprints, work orders or oral instructions to make quality tools according to customer specifications. 2. Develops new products and qualifies new tools throughout the shop. 3. Performs recognized machining operations, occasionally improvising standard tooling for special adaptations. 4. MARGINAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Collect and evaluate supplier quality data to identify process improvement opportunities within the supply chain and Quality department. 2. Review supplier manufacturing processes, collaborate with suppliers on process improvement and value enhancement opportunities. 4.
