The Investment Program and Pursuit Lead role is your opportunity to lead the innovation for our entire Launched Effects portfolio, with a special focus on emerging and cutting-edge developments with Raytheon's Coyote Unmanned Aircraft System. This role provides the technical development leadership and vision for the portfolio, focusing on identifying and developing next-generation technologies, architectures, and concepts to maintain and expand Raytheon's competitive edge. The Investment Program and Pursuit Lead acts as a key influential interface with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, critical suppliers, and industry partners, to shape the future of this critical market. What You Will Do Drive the generation of new Launched Effects and Loitering Munitions technologies and apply the broad resources of Raytheon to maturation of those technologies. Mature through investment and smart partnerships advanced kinetic and non-kinetic payloads for our family of Launched Effects. Identify strategic investment and corporate development opportunities to accelerate technology maturation and expand market presence. Identify and evaluate emerging technologies with potential applications to the portfolio, including areas like collaborative behaviors, composable interfaces, advanced power propulsion and power solutions, alternative navigation, and advanced communications. Lead and participate in strategic capture efforts, provide technical expertise and guidance for proposal development. Cultivate relationships with key technical personnel within government agencies, research institutions, and industry partners, with a focus on capturing Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADA) with Federal Laboratories. Represent Raytheon at technical conferences, symposia, and customer meetings as a thought leader. Mentor and guide engineering staff, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence. Monitor and analyze competitor activities, identifying potential threats and opportunities. Oversee Internal Research and Development (IRAD) projects, ensuring alignment with the overall technical strategy. Collaborate with Program Mangers, Chief Engineers, and Business Development to ensure smooth transition of new technologies into existing programs. Lead technical responses for White Papers, Request for Information, and Requests for Proposals associated with new growth opportunities. Develop technology demonstration plans and interface with external partners and customers to mature those plans. Drive the execution of that strategy across multiple programs. Ability to travel up to 10% domestically as needed Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of ten (10) years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 7 years' experience Experience developing and implementing new products, processes, and standards Experience with multi-pronged technology development utilizing company internal investment funds Experience developing executive level communications Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
