Utilize LEAN, statistical, and data-visualization tools. Manage daily and long-term production activities to meet or exceed budgeted quality, yield, and operating cost targets by managing equipment efficiency and productivity. Scheduling of production activities and shipping logistics. Manage employees operating all machinery and systems for all shifts, ensuring sound practice in all plant disciplines. Manage the physical facilities, production equipment, and all associated maintenance in accordance with best practices, statutory regulations, and all company policies and procedures. Coordinate all production operations over all shifts. Has authority to shut down operations if non-standard or unsafe conditions develop. Determine appropriate actions with respect to changing situations resulting from manpower or material changes and formulates appropriate action plans. Develop and mentor professional growth and advancement of department staff. Create an empowered culture to ensure that the department and its people understand the goals and objectives of the business and that they have the resources and leadership support to accomplish them. Provide an environment which ensures and provides for open and healthy communications. Coordinate the work of the pack department to ensure prompt reaction to such things as changing factory schedule, material performance, production delays, mechanical problems, customer needs, and quality issues. Team with Engineering and Technical Milling groups to develop improved processes and/or materials. Production Manager Qualifications: Ideally, bachelor's degree and 4+ years relevant job experience (or equivalent experience). Strong leadership behaviors. Demonstrated safety and food safety champion behaviors. Grain storage management experience. Food manufacturing/processing experience. Strong interpersonal skills (communication, coaching, setting expectations, and providing feedback). Greenfield Milling TITLE Lead Production Operator Job Location Richmond, UT 84333 Position Type Full Time Education Level High School Salary Range $21.50 - $21.50 Hourly Travel Percentage None Description Description The Lead Production Operator has responsibility for the safety, quality of product, on-time delivery, and to meet or exceed operation efficiencies of the pack and warehouse departments during their assigned shifts. The focus of this position is to maximize productivity by taking ownership of the production process, which includes taking responsibility for the safety of personnel, the quality of the finished product, upkeep of equipment, and the elimination of waste of plant and company resources. They report directly to the Production Manager. This position will be on the night shift, 7pm - 7am, and will work every other weekend. The schedule will rotate days 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next. There will be a shift differential of .75/ hour from 7pm -11pm and 1.50/ hour from 11pm - 7am. Lead Production Operator Responsibilities: Manage your team and hold them accountable for plant/department goals including those that may impact productivity such as OEE's, yield, capacity, and area attainment metrics. Reduce unscheduled and unidentified non-productive time by analyzing data and acting in an appropriate manner. Monitor team members and plant processes to maximize productivity, attain, and surpass plant goals in overtime, labor costs, non-productive time, etc. Act as an example in the facility by following and enforcing all safety practices. Communicate safety goals and ideas to your team members daily. Address any safety issues or concerns brought to your attention, if you are unable to bring closure to the issue, notify the Production Manager. Focus on the quality of all products and ensure that all quality analysis procedures are carried out and on schedule. Ensure that your area is maintained in a clean and orderly state and embrace the "clean as you go" concept. Ensure all team members follow Food Safety and GMP guidelines. Set a positive example for your team. Recognize, manage, and resolve all team member issues whenever possible, and know when to escalate to a higher level for resolution. This individual will be responsible for group financial reporting, as well as accounting and control functions for plant facilities and will oversee the Accounts Receivable & Payable shared services team. Focus on intercompany and related party transaction accounting. They will be responsible for leading Accounting and Finance process efficiencies and projects. Manage financial reporting, internal controls and accounting operations for UFMM dba Greenfield, Hippo, TFM, Ledge, NCFM. Manage income tax for all companies. Group Controller: Prepare, analyze, and present financial statements, including COGS and inventory analysis. Maintain and review and/or prepare account reconciliations for assigned entities for all accounts, including cash, fixed assets, and inventory. Review of physical inventory results for unusual items and coordinate resolution with the plant. Review, classify, and update commodity costs based on market reports. Maintain and review the general ledger and reconcile balance sheets for inventory, fixed assets, and other associated accounts. May include recording journal entries and performing detailed account reconciliations/analysis. Consolidate financial statements, managing compliance (GAAP/IFRS), and driving strategic financial planning. Develop and maintain cost of finished goods and production components in the ERP system. Ensure validity and accuracy of ERP through analysis, internal audit, and coordination with inventory control, production, and work order processing. Establish, lead, and manage the excess and obsolete inventory review process. Assist in developing and documenting policies and procedures, including system requirements and internal controls. Maintain and improve processes and controls associated with manufacturing costs and inventory valuation. Assist various other departments with accounting-related issues (e.g., G/L coding questions), especially as it pertains to inventory and purchase orders. Assist with ad hoc financial analysis/ reports, systems upgrade, process improvements, etc. Manage monthly cycle counts of inventory, reporting on variances, verifying inventory adjustments required, getting approvals for adjustments, and summarizing data for management review. This will include periodic travel. Responsible for annual audit/review including physical counts with external auditors, and preparation of all inventories, COGS, and fixed asset schedules for annual audit.
