Description: Position: Maintenance Supervisor, Markus Gardens Function: Repairs and maintains physical plant facilities. Reports to: Facilities Manager Location: Queens (Jamaica) Schedule: Tuesdays through Saturdays (8:00am-4:00pm) Tasks: Schedules and assures the provision of maintenance and repairs Maintains a schedule of preventive maintenance and upkeep Performs maintenance and repair, including, patching and sheet rocking, painting, lock replacement and repair, carpentry, HVAC cleaning, filter and belt changes, tile and wood floor replacement, plumbing and electrical work, and preventive maintenance Conducts regular inspections of physical plants and building systems, including boiler rooms, electrical rooms, gas rooms, and sprinkler systems Acts as liaison and arranges for service from outside contractors Inventories furniture, appliances, and equipment Alerts Program Directors and supervisor to maintenance problems Assist with client move-ins and move-outs Provides coverage for light maintenance and custodial duties as needed Attends support staff meetings Is on call for emergencies Duties as assigned by supervisor Requirements: Mechanical ability and experience. Knowledge of heating, plumbing, ventilation, air conditioning, and electrical systems. Proficient with power and hand tools. Able to lift at least 50 pounds, move furniture, carry equipment and climb stairs with ease. Knowledge of Department of Building and Sanitation codes. Certifications/licenses preferred. Ability to work well with others. Good written and verbal communication skills in English. Valid driver's license. Description: Position: Job Developer/Job Coach Function: Supports adults with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) enrolled in Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) with engagement in employment in fidelity to the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model. At least 65% of the work week is spent in the field in the community. Reports to: ACT Team Leader Deployed to: Bronx Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team Schedule: Mondays-Fridays (8am-4pm or 9am-5pm) Tasks: Provides employment readiness needs assessments and develops individualized plans congruent with participant needs, preferences, goals and readiness Conducts rapid job search for participants Carries out systemic job development and partnering with employers in the community Develops employment opportunities for participants by establishing linkages and relationships with potential employers in the community Provides ongoing support and coaching to assist participants engaged in employment or employment readiness activities to improve behaviors, interpersonal skills, and work ethics necessary to maintain employment Works with employers to facilitate reasonable accommodation for participants according to participant need Assists individuals in understanding and managing changes to their benefits and entitlements based on their employment income Assures monitoring and documentation of participant progress by developing and maintaining tracking and progress reports Enters data into the NY Employment Services System (NYESS) and Child and Adult Integrated Reporting System (CAIRS) Attends training as assigned including participation in trainings and technical assistance related to IPS Actively participates in the Center for Practice Innovations IPS Learning Collaborative Collaborates as an active member of the ACT team in promoting employment related goals and objectives for participants Duties as assigned by supervisor Requirements: Bachelor's Degree with significant experience in work services (e.g. soft skill development, job coaching, job development, placement support) for people with SMI. Strong organizational and written and oral communication skills. Capable of taking an assignment from concept to completion with minimal supervision. Ability to travel in NYC utilizing public transportation. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
