Position Description Position Title: Video Producer Department: Creative Department Reports To: Creative Director Employee Status: Full-time, Exempt Location: Central Campus Date: May 2025 Job Summary: The Video Producer plays a vital role in communicating the vision and mission of Definition Church by leading the creation of high-quality, story-driven video content that supports ministry goals and enhances engagement across platforms. This person will work in collaboration with our existing Video Producer and the Creative Director to tell powerful stories that inspire, inform, and invite people to be with Jesus, become like Jesus, and do what Jesus did. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Creative Director and other departments to produce weekly and seasonal video content for weekend experiences, social media, and special events. Own full-cycle video production: concepting, scheduling, scripting, filming, editing, and delivery. Manage all aspects of studio and on-location shoots, including lighting, audio, camera operation, and directing on-screen talent. Edit video content with excellence and clarity using Adobe Premiere Pro (experience with After Effects is a plus). Maintain organized workflows and timely delivery of projects using project management systems (e.g., Asana). Maintain and steward video equipment, ensuring functionality, upgrades, and availability for all production needs. Participate in the creative process for planning upcoming initiatives, campaigns, and events. Stay up to date on trends, equipment, techniques, and creative inspiration that could benefit the team. Serve during weekend experiences and church-wide initiatives (Christmas, Easter, Serve Saturday, etc.). Required Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in video production (church or ministry setting preferred). Excellent time management and organizational skills; able to manage multiple projects under deadlines. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premiere Pro. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including Sundays, evenings, and some holidays. Preferred Qualifications Degree in film, media production, or a related field. Familiarity with Adobe After Effects and RX9. Experience managing volunteers or leading a team. Understanding of and alignment with the culture and mission of Definition Church. PURPOSE: Provide oversight, leadership development and strategy in the ministry areas of serve teams and serve opportunities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Serve Oversee serve teams and serve opportunities, including, but not limited to: Team recruitment, leadership development, and training Serve registrations, attendance, and other database requirements Development of teams in the following areas: Guest Experience (Host, Usher, Parking, Next Steps), Prayer, Prison, and any other teams deemed necessary to create an excellent guest experience Help coordinate and lead serve opportunities like Giving Hope, School Supply Drive, etc. Help facilitate and oversee the process of assimilating new people onto serve teams Help maintain and develop a healthy culture amongst all of our serve teams for including, but not limited to guest experiences, next gen and worship teams. Other Facilitate and/or teach at experiences and programs designed to help people engage in serving and engaging in the church. These include, but are not limited to: Serve Team Orientation Core Assist with pastoral care responsibilities as needed at the assigned campus, including, but not limited to completing Pastoral Assessments Oversee the management of all online prayer requests EXPERIENCE: 3+ years attending Definition Church, an ARC Church or something similar 3+ years serving in a position of leadership 3+ years leading groups or teams Speaking/Teaching experience (from 10-200 people) EDUCATION: Four-year bachelor's degree is preferred Additional ministry or seminary training is ideal Completion of Cultivate Leadership Institute or some similar leadership training is preferred. If some of the above are not met, you may be asked to complete them upon acceptance of the role. TIME REQUIREMENTS: The Serve Pastor is expected to work full-time in accordance with what is laid out in our staff handbook. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: Vibrant and growing personal relationship with Jesus. SCOPE OF SUPERVISION: This position will manage volunteer personnel within the assigned area of ministry, both formally and informally, with the permission and oversight of the Executive Pastor - Assimilation. Some actions are considered independent and subjective in nature. Most decisions should be guided by personal discretion, with consultation of the Executive Pastor. INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Excellent interpersonal skills are needed, as well as the ability to interact effectively with volunteers and personnel at all levels and with all levels of technical knowledge and understanding. Professional demeanor is required at all times, including the ability to remain calm under pressure. The ability to work across the various teams is essential. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Demands of the position are primarily mental; however, individuals must be comfortable sitting for long periods and traveling 5 - 10% of the time.
