Position Summary: This position is hands-on and reports to Maintenance Manager and supervises the 3rd shift maintenance crew, setup crew, and monitors the refrigeration system overnight. As a Maintenance/ Refrigeration Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant refrigeration maintenance including ammonia systems, nitrogen tunnels RTUs, and air compressors. Additional responsibilities will include leading and directing maintenance technicians. You will work closely with the Maintenance Manager to implement maintenance policies and procedures while ensuring a safe and clean environment. Responsibilities: Assist the Maintenance Manager and PSM Manager in developing and implementing maintenance and process safety management policies and procedures. Diagnose basic electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, plumbing, and electronic (PLC) problems Direct/assist with repairs Ensure all maintenance staff understand and follow SQF Quality Management policies, procedures, and GMP practices. Ensure all systems are operated in compliance with OSHA and PSM policies and procedures. Lead and direct maintenance and refrigeration technicians, fostering a well-trained and motivated team. Measure, monitor and reduce operational downtime Prepares and supervises preventive maintenance (PM) schedules to maintain all the ammonia refrigeration department including MYCOM & FES SKIDS in their entirety. Promote a 'Safety First' culture amongst staff Quickly assess issues to minimize operational downtime. Requirements: Minimum Qualifications Education: Associate's degree or relevant college certificate in a related field is preferred, along with hands-on experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment. Experience: Industrial refrigeration experience; 5+ years of experience in refrigeration lead or supervisor role with direct reports preferred. Proficient in verbal communication, with the ability to listen, understand, and articulate ideas effectively. Strong written communication skills for clear expression and comprehension of ideas and concepts. Functional knowledge of CMMS systems.
