Hello, We are partnering with a Community Health Center in beautiful Alaska that is seeking a General Dentist for a locum tenens assignment beginning mid-March. This is an excellent opportunity to serve a diverse patient population while working with a supportive clinical team. Position Details: Setting: Community Health Center Start Date: March 16, 2026 Schedule: Flexible 4x10 schedule (Monday Thursday or Tuesday Friday) Assignment Length: 3 4 months, with potential for extension Licensure Requirement: Active Alaska dental license required Clinical Environment: Work alongside one additional DDS in a collaborative setting Strong support staff, including 3 Dental Assistants and 1 Registered Dental Hygienist Patient volume averages patients per day , with approximately one patient per hour plus occasional emergency walk-ins Providers must be comfortable treating patients of all ages Clinic serves a diverse community, with approximately 40% Medicaid patient population This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact in an underserved community while enjoying the natural beauty and unique experience Alaska has to offer. Explain the connection between gum health and general systemic health Record periodontal conditions to support collaboration with the Dentist in creating suitable treatment plans Work as part of a team to coordinate scheduling, deliver an outstanding patient experience, and help maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the practice and equipment
