Maintenance Technician II Pro-Active Engineering has an opening for a Maintenance Technician II. This position, under limited supervision, performs general building upkeep, equipment inspections, repairs and improvements to our facility. Essential Functions 1. Perform routine maintenance as assigned, including on building interior/exterior and machines, then logging preventative maintenance checks into the asset management software (QT9). 2. Notify management of necessary building repairs and emergencies that are outside the scope of routine maintenance. 3. Perform scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance on SMT equipment, including solder paste printers, pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, automated optical inspection (AOI) systems, and selective soldering equipment. 4. Read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and service manuals to support repair and maintenance efforts. 5. Maintain tools and repair equipment in optimum working condition. 6. Develop and Maintain Critical Spares Inventory to prevent stock outs causing extended downtime 7. Create Preventative Maintenance documentation for: Training, communication, tracking. 8. Drive to customer sites as needed to make deliveries. 9. Ensure work area is kept clean and free of debris. 10. This role is the front-line point of contact for customers and helps coordinate communication between departments to ensure accurate and timely delivery of products. This role plays a key role in handling larger accounts, mentoring junior team members, and ensuring smooth operations across customer service functions. Essential Functions Be the main point of contact for assigned customer accounts; Manage a larger volume of customer accounts, including high-value or high-complexity clients. Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries and complaints; Act as a first escalation point for customer or internal process-related issues. Maintain job status and communicate progress with customers or sales reps. Receive and process RFQs (Request for Quotation) and purchase orders; Review and improve accuracy of RFQs and onboarding documentation. This position loads and/or runs the Surface Mount Placement machine (Pick and Place) to manufacture printed circuit board assemblies. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Read and follow production documents to fully understand the project at hand. Prep boards, mask, glue, and program screen-printer. Load feeders and magazines to ensure machine optimization. Verify component and manufacturing part number accuracy against B.O.M. Evaluate components for conformance and sufficient quantity. Perform preventative and general maintenance on machines. Keep an accurate count of product at your workstation while inspecting every piece for defects. Prep Thru-Hole components as needed.
