WELDER SUMMARY The Welder is responsible for preparing materials, assembling components, and performing welding tasks according to engineered drawings to fabricate high-quality end products. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and quality standards. WELDER ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare materials for fabrication processes. Lay out and assemble components based on engineering drawings. Perform fabrication tasks, including cutting/threading pipe, thermal cutting, welding, grinding, assembly, painting, and packaging. Collaborate with Sales and Engineering teams to meet customer specifications. Maintain inventory of perishable items. Follow safe work practices and implement 5S housekeeping techniques. Perform other duties as assigned. WELDER QUALIFICATIONS 6 months to 1 year of recent welding experience. Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations. Preferred: Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid AWS D1.1 or ASME Section IX GMAW welding certification, or the ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write basic correspondence and communicate effectively in one-on-one and small group settings. Proficiency with measurement tools Pipe fitting and MIG welding to ASME code standards. TIG welding of thin-wall tubing. Thermal cutting techniques. Skilled with hand tools (e.g., wrenches, grinders, drills). Strong communication and teamwork skills. Forklift operation experience. Ability to read and interpret technical prints and drawings Ability to solve problems involving multiple variables in standardized situations. Must have vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Monday - Thursday 5am - 3pm Mandatory Overtime on Fridays.
