Craft Beer Guild Distributing of NY , a member of the Sheehan Family Companies, has an excellent full-time opportunity in our sales department. We are currently looking for an ASM / Sales Supervisor . The ASM / Sales Superviso r is responsible for ensuring the successful growth of the Company's market share and ensuring the continued growth of sales and distribution while maintaining control of expenses. Competitive salary range of $75,000 - $85,000 annually, plus bonus potential. OBJECTIVE: To ensure the successful growth of the Company's market share and to ensure the continued growth of sales and distribution while maintaining control of expenses. RESPONSIBILITIES: •Maintain effective customer relations and promote the company's goodwill throughout the trade area. •Supervise and direct assigned Sales Reps to ensure the greatest possible sales and distribution of products and maintain morale and motivation. •Implement and execute the marketing strategies of the Company. •Schedule personnel to cover promotional activities. •Assist in handling supplier relationships as required. •Identify and emphasize sales and placements in key accounts. •Organize the sales department's structure, including assigning accounts, territories, and product lines. •Recruitment, selection, and training of the sales force. •Review customer credit status and shipments with the Credit Manager. •Assist in projecting sales and in ordering products. •Prepare monthly sales objectives and plan of action related to business activities. •Maintain awareness of the industry and respond to new developments. REQUIREMENTS: •BA. /BS. Degree. •Position requires 5-7 years of previous sales experience in a beer, wine and spirit or consumer goods sales environment. •Excellent managerial, communication, and leadership capabilities. •Knowledge of legal requirements regarding the sale and delivery of alcoholic beverages. This role will focus on learning and training in the successful sale and distribution of all craft products within the Craft Beer Guild Distributing of NY portfolio throughout Ulster & Orange Counties. This individual will be responsible for developing new business at current no-buy accounts. This position provides valuable experience within our industry and serves as a pathway to becoming a Sales Representative. In this position, you will build the knowledge, skills, and experience needed to grow into a Sales Representative as opportunities become available. Objective: To develop the skills, knowledge, and experience necessary to become a sales representative. Pay Range: $19-$22 per hour plus monthly bonus potential as well as platinum-level medical, dental, and vision benefits (eligible after 90 days) and voluntary benefits like life insurance, AFLAC, legal assistance, and pet insurance. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Develop and maintain effective customer relations and promote the good will of the company Ensure that all product is rotated and code policy is followed Successful sale, distribution and placement of all craft products Proper merchandising of accounts with permanent and paper POS Effective accounts receivable collections within corporate credit policy Conduct promotions in accounts on a regular basis or when required Develop new accounts and new placements Organize and execute floor displays and placement of window neon's and banners at all accounts Handle customer inquiries regarding credit, delivery, product information and other inquiries as they arise Execute monthly goals as related to business activities Maintain a regular schedule of weekly appointments with accounts in assigned area Other duties as assigned ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in marketing, sales and management Excellent oral and written communications skills This person will live in or around the assigned area Valid and clean driver's license Ability and willingness to work independently Cicerone Beer Server Certification (or willingness to obtain) EQUIPMENT USED TO PERFORM JOB: Two wheel hand truck Car or van Hand-held or personal computer CRITICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Use of hand and foot controls for driving Walking and climbing stairs Two handed lifting, handling and carrying of cases from floor to overhead levels on a frequent basis Two handed lifting, handling, carrying half barrels and quarter barrels from floor to 48" on an occasional basis Pushing and pulling a hand truck and/or cart on level and inclined surfaces on a frequent basis Sustained squatting, kneeling, and/or bending while handling products Sufficient manual dexterity to operate business equipment including, but not limited to, computer, telephone, adding machine.
