In-house Cook (PT) Tues, Thurs Friday 10am-4pm Franciscan Friars - Province of Our Lady of Guadalupe Juliet, IL Key Responsibilities: Prepare and present meals that meet state and local food safety standards and friar requirements and expectations. Collaborate regarding meal schedule and materials. Receive deliveries and store/prep materials and food items. Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly cleaned and maintained in good & safe working order. Stock salad bar items and manage fryer Clean dining room and remove trash following breakfast and lunch meals Assist with managing supply of all perishable and non-perishable food items plus miscellaneous supplies required for a kitchen and meal preparation operation. Assist with executing special events and dinners for guests and fraternal members. Required Qualifications and Attributes 5 - 7 years cooking and kitchen experience. Preference for experience with in-house meal preparation and/or catering experience. Experience with kitchen equipment operation, cleaning, maintenance, and replacement. Service orientation and self-directed work style. Strong communication skills and ability to interact with fellow employees and religious staff. Ability to safely lift 50 lbs.
