Scope The Materials Manager will lead company material planning, strategic sourcing, and supply chain management activities. This position is key to achieving world class operating performance. Continually improves quality, delivery and total cost of products and services to assure the continued success of ATS in the market place. Specific Duties Lead material planning activities to assure Production of just in time material flow. Lead and coordinate Supply Chain activities to sustainable world class performance (On Time Delivery, Supplier Quality, and Inventory Turns). Serve as Supplier Development and Relationship Manager, work to implement vendor qualification process and monitoring of new programs and performance metrics. May be assigned special projects by the President as work load permits. Required Skills / Experience(s) / Education / Certification Minimum of Bachelor's degree. Technical degree preferred or BBA with technical work experience within the automotive industry. Demonstrated experience within the OEM automotive manufacturing environment desired. Job Summary: To support the preventative maintenance and repairing of industrial equipment and special projects as required of the manufacturing and support groups Responsibilities: Interact with supervisors and co-workers as needed. Have ability to work as a team member towards overall Company objectives. Wear proper PPE equipment in all designated areas. Be self-motivated and able to work as a member of a team when needed. Make preventative maintenance checks and inspections as required. Be able to utilize personal computer (PC) based maintenance management systems. Systematically trouble-shoot and repair industrial equipment. Test equipment after repairs and leave equipment and area in a clean, safe condition. Maintain proper housekeeping expectations. Follow and promote on-the-job safety expectations. Respond to production-down issues in a manner that minimizes downtime. Perform tasks in a quality fashion by meeting or exceeding the customer requirements. Have ability to perform welding and metal fabrication duties. Train others in the use of equipment and skills of trouble-shooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance. Effectively perform basic electrical work and document as required by the State Electrical code and the plant facility electrician. Perform all assigned work orders. Be available for call-in as required; willingness to work overtime and rotate shifts on a 7 day cycle if needed. Be willing to work on cross-functional teams to solve various issues throughout the plant. Perform preventative maintenance on alternate shifts when necessary to avoid manufacturing interruption. Technical Skills: Strong electrical aptitude preferred. Excellent writing and verbal communication skills. Self-starter requiring minimal supervision. Skills in trouble shooting electrical, PLC's, hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanical systems in an industrial environment are a plus. 2 year degree in electrical, SCADA or electromechanical preferred. Physical Requirements: Position could involve standing on your feet for 8+ hours a day, working in temperatures of 90+ degrees during a scheduled workday (during seasonal changes in weather), and, at times, lifting weights of 50 to 70 pounds. TITLE: R&D Technician-Prototype/Fabrication SALARY GRADE: Non-Exempt DEPARTMENT: Engineering DIVISION: Canton, SD REPORTS TO: Prototype/Test Supervisor GENERAL SUMMARY Responsible for the construction of prototype heat exchangers. Prototype technicians have the responsibility for producing quality prototypes on time that meet dimensional and product requirements. It is also essential that Prototype technicians play a key roll in introducing new products into production through assistance with development of processes and tooling. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Build prototype parts in accordance with ATS prototype procedures, prints and product standards. Shared responsibility in maintaining 6S standards for the Prototype shop. Maintain a clean organized work area. Work on other special projects as required. Participating in teams developing tooling and processes for new product introduction. Assist with testing tasks as required. Other duties as assigned. TECHNICAL SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A minimum of 2 years of post high school education in a technical field. It is possible to meet this requirement with equivalent industry experience as evaluated by management. Metal working abilities including machining (manual upright mill and lathe), cutting, and forming. The ideal candidate will also have steel and aluminum MIG and TIG welding abilities. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and translate to hand fabrication of components. Ability to use quality measurement equipment (calipers, micrometers, height gage, etc.) A working knowledge of geometry and trigonometry. Excellent mechanical aptitude and hands on ability. Ability to handle multiple tasks. Ability to work effectively in a team with engineers and technicians. Flexibility to work overtime and non-standard hours as required.
