Senior Engineer - Finance & HR The Center for Elders' Independence is a PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the elderly) organization (PO) that uses an interdisciplinary team approach for care planning and implementing purposeful high quality, affordable, and integrated health care services to the elderly. Our elderly meet PACE requirements as prescribed by CMS and are referred to as participants. Our PO includes Adult Day Health Centers and primary care clinics, promoting participant autonomy, quality of life and the ability for individuals to live in their communities. The Position: We are seeking a Senior Engineer - Finance to oversee the design, implementation and maintenance of mission-critical financial applications within our organization. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance the efficiency, reliability and scalability of financial software applications, ensuring that they support day-to-day business operations. You will also manage systems integrations, troubleshoot complex issues to drive continuous improvements in our financial technology stack. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with cross-functional team: Work closely with finance team, business analysts and other stakeholders to gather and understand requirements for financial systems. Translate these requirements into technical solutions that enhance efficiency and meet regulatory standards. Ensure alignment between business objectives and application capabilities, delivering solutions that support both short-term and long-term goals. Integration Management: Oversee the integration of financial applications with other enterprise systems, such as HER, CRM, banking systems, and third-party data sources. Ensure that data flow is accurate, efficient, and secure across platforms. System Optimization & Performance Tuning: Continuously, monitor the performance of financial applications, troubleshooting any issues, and implementing optimizations. Proactively identify opportunities to improve system performance, reliability and scalability. Security and Compliance: Ensure all financial applications are built with robust security measures in place to protect sensitive financial data and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Project Management: Lead projects from initiation to completion, managing timelines, resources, and priorities effectively. Coordinate with product owners and other departments to ensure deliverables meet business needs and are on schedule. Documentation & Training: Create and maintain technical documentation for application configurations, integrations, and system workflows. Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users, ensuring they are equipped to use the applications effectively. Provide ongoing support and guidance to users, troubleshooting any challenges and answering questions related to the applications. Education & Experience: Associate's degree in computer science, information technology, Finance, or related field. 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role focused on financial applications. Proven experience with financial systems, enterprise applications, and accounting software. Technical Skills: Deep understanding of financial systems and applications, accounting software, financial reporting tools, and payment gateways. Expertise in cloud-based platforms (AWS, Azure) and DevOps tools for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD). Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards and financial auditing processes. Strong communication skills, with ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and executives. Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to financial systems and applications. Familiarity with PRINCE 2 or other project management methodologies. Basic programming/scripting skills (Python/ JavaScript) for automation or troubleshooting. Experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and re porting tools to extract data from financial applications for analysis and reporting. This is an onsite position in our Downtown Oakland Headquarters. The salary range for the Lead Engineer-Infrastructure position at Center for Elders Independence is $142,944 - $179,006. Key Responsibilities: System Management : Lead the configuration strategy and optimization of the financial and human resou rce systems, ensuring their availability, functionality, and integration with other clinical and administrative systems.
