This role is fully independent, offering a high level of autonomy in a CRNA-only practice environment with a consistent bread-and-butter surgical case mix and OB coverage responsibilities while on call. Responsibilities • Provide independent anesthesia care in a small OR setting with 2 3 rooms, typically 1 2 running daily • Function as a fully autonomous CRNA responsible for pre-operative evaluation, intraoperative anesthesia management, and post-operative anesthesia care • Manage a broad case mix including general surgery, orthopedics, OB/GYN, GI/endoscopy, ENT, urology, and podiatry • Provide OB anesthesia coverage while on call , including labor epidurals, emergent cesarean sections, and obstetric anesthesia support as needed • Independently administer and manage general, regional, and sedation anesthesia techniques • Perform airway management, vascular access, hemodynamic monitoring, and critical intraoperative interventions • Assess and respond to changes in patient status throughout the perioperative period, adjusting anesthetic plans accordingly • Collaborate with surgeons, OB providers, and perioperative staff to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care • Maintain accurate and timely anesthesia documentation in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards • Ensure anesthesia equipment is properly checked, stocked, and maintained according to safety protocols • Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives and support safe anesthesia practices Practice Model • Independent CRNA-only practice with high clinical autonomy • Typically 1 2 CRNAs covering daily cases • No routine MDA supervision onsite • Bread-and-butter surgical cases only (no cardiac or major neuro cases) • OB call coverage is required when scheduled on call Qualifications • Current CRNA certification and active (or eligible) Wisconsin licensure • Minimum of 2 years clinical anesthesia experience preferred • Strong proficiency in general, regional, and OB anesthesia • Ability to function independently in a fast-paced, rural hospital setting • Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills Schedule / Coverage Dates Regular Shifts (7a 3p) June 12 July 6, 9, 15, 16, 20, 24, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31 August 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 11, 13, 17, 31 September 3, 10, 11, 16, 17, 21, 24 16-Hour Call Shifts (3p 7a) June 11, 12 July 24, 31 September 18 24-Hour Call Shifts (7a 7a) June 13, 14 July 25, 26 August 1, 2, 22, 23 September 19, 20 Compensation • $270/hour • Travel and lodging provided
