Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced CNC Trainer with expertise in a variety of CNC machining and operation of Turning, Swiss turning, Mill-turn, and Milling, processes. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of training or leadership experience, with a preference for at least 2 years of hands-on training. This role involves leading students through an in-depth course that combines classroom instruction with practical, hands-on training. When not engaged in training activities, the individual will set-up/operate machinery and serve as a subject matter expert on the manufacturing floor, providing guidance to apprentices and ensuring optimal production processes. Conduct both classroom and hands-on training sessions, ensuring that students gain a thorough understanding of CNC machining principles and practices. Stay updated with the latest advancements in CNC technology and integrate relevant updates into the training curriculum. Monitor machining processes, make necessary adjustments, and ensure adherence to quality standards. Document any inefficiencies in the process, issuing change notices to engineering or programming for issue resolution or process corrections. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or an associate degree in a related field is preferred. At least 2 years of experience in training or leadership role, with a preference for candidates who have conducted hands-on training. Job Summary: The 2 nd Shift Production Supervisor leads a multi-department team of CNC Operators and Set-Up Operators, in a high mix / low volume aerospace component manufacturing environment. This role is expected to balance expertise in set-up and operation of CNC machining for precision tolerance components, along with strong interpersonal skills to motivate the team to work toward common goals and objectives. Key responsibilities include managing the day-to-day priorities for multiple departments, cross-training staff on best practices to meet set-up and production run-times, optimizing processes through the elimination of waste, and leading lean continuous improvement initiatives. As a working supervisor, this role is expected to run production jobs and provide the necessary supervisory management to a small 2 nd shift team. Support's manufacturing associates in solving dimensional verification issues and acts as the company resource for all departments regarding inspection methodology, technique, gaging and process specification interpretation. Essential Job Duties: Performs layout inspection on all levels of manufactured parts. Using knowledge of best quality practices and manufacturing methods, ensures manufactured parts meet blueprint, operation sheet, or other specification requirements. Prioritizes job assignments within quality inspection area. Interacts with all levels of associates regarding quality issues. Verify rejections prior to submitting to quality clinic. Liaison between Quality and Engineering to facilitate communication and activity. Performs all the responsibilities of a Quality Inspector. Responsible for creation of documentation related to FAI forms and submission as required, creation of Inspection Method Sheet (IMS) forms and perform duties related. Perform full inspections; ability to conduct first piece inspections. Inspect and record dimensions per process sheets, inspection reports, blueprints and any other applicable documentation.
