Studies blueprints, drawings, sketches or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished part, sequence of operations and set up requirements. Perform the work described on bill of operations for your department and/ or section. Performs multiple set ups and operations to produce parts on a production basis. Perform all work shown on the drawing and described in the notes that is applicable to your section and/or department. If the work order is unclear, refer to the detailed manufacturing instructions for visual purposes. Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, materials and accessories on machining equipment. Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining operations. All work performed must meet the blueprint specifications. Verifies finished parts for conformance to specifications.
