General Superintendent, Construction On Site; McCarran, NV Salary: $120,000.00 - $170,000.00 A leading engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) organization is seeking a General Site Superintendent to oversee large-scale industrial projects from installation through start-up. This role is central to coordinating construction activities across multiple disciplines and ensuring project execution aligns with design intent, safety standards, budget expectations, and schedule requirements. The General Site Superintendent will supervise all site-level scopes, lead the team of discipline Superintendents, and act as a key liaison between construction, engineering, project management, project controls, and procurement teams. Key Responsibilities Oversee all field construction activities and act as the primary link between engineering, estimating, and site crews to ensure adherence to drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements. Directly supervise all superintendents and manage all field scopes assigned to the project. Coordinate field operations to maintain safe, efficient alignment with the project schedule. Manage site logistics including deliveries, access, sequencing of work areas, and coordination with adjacent project teams. Plan work methods, materials, equipment, and manpower needs; review daily schedules with direct reports and update weekly schedules based on field progress. Review and interpret project specifications; coordinate with work crews, field engineers, design engineering, utilities, and local authorities to safely support field work. Forecast schedule needs, identify potential issues, and recommend technical or scheduling solutions. Provide technical input to resolve risks related to methods, materials, safety, and schedule; document daily site activities and meeting notes using approved systems. Support leadership with additional assignments as needed. Present production work plans during project kickoff to ensure alignment across teams. Coordinate with internal equipment groups and external vendors to ensure adequate equipment and material availability for safe and timely execution. Oversee construction of complex mechanical and piping scopes within industrial, process, or treatment plant environments. Coordinate inspections and ensure all required testing and approvals are completed on schedule. Enforce strict safety standards, identify training needs, and support the projects safety culture. Supervise subcontractor performance, recommend workflow adjustments, and ensure compliance with project requirements. Lead project closeout activities, ensuring documentation and turnover meet organizational and authority requirements. Maintain alignment with company values, project goals, and overall strategy. Desired Qualifications 15+ years of construction experience, with preference for industrial, process plant, or manufacturing environments. 10+ years of leadership experience managing construction teams or superintendents. Bachelors degree preferred. Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) certification preferred. OSHA 30-hour certification preferred. Valid drivers license required. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience with 3D model reviews, Navisworks, or clash detection tools preferred. Advanced knowledge of construction equipment, operations, and maintenance requirements. Strong understanding of construction safety protocols and ability to enforce them. Familiarity with union or prevailing wage requirements, if applicable. Ability to read and interpret technical standards, plans, and specifications.
