Labor Overland Park, KS Part Time - Hourly About the Role: The Laborer position in Overland Park, KS, is a vital role focused on supporting various physical tasks that contribute to the smooth operation of construction, maintenance, or manufacturing projects. Perform entry-level work in the repair and maintenance of the related equipment and machinery. Use hand and power tools as required to operate, repair, and maintain related equipment. Check the condition of equipment; performs operations and safety check prior to using equipment; maintain tools and equipment used in the repair and maintenance of assigned equipment; fuel vehicles/equipment; inspect and perform safety checks on vehicles/equipment; clean vehicles/equipment; report the need for repairs. Document work performed and prepared records and reports. Operate vehicles to travel to various Agency facilities and locations. Request parts, tools, materials, and supplies. May operate steam cleaning equipment, air compressors, and related tools and equipment. Assist Facility/Agency mechanics in the repair and maintenance of assigned equipment. Respond to emergencies, as necessary. May be required to train for fire response; may be required to respond to fires. For more information visit Job Summary Denali is seeking an Environmental Manager to support our land application program for food processing residuals and biosolids in the Northeast U.S. region, particularly in the states of Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. This position will report to the Environmental Director of the North Region. The Environmental Manager will oversee compliance with current environmental permits and prepare additional permit applications for land-based permit programs, as well as serving as a business partner to the Operations team in the areas of farmer relations, land base management, and community outreach. Location:Hybrid position but physically based in Southcentral PA (Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, York Counties) Key Responsibilities Support efforts to maintain and obtain new land application permits in multiple states. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and permit conditions; to include, flagging of buffer zones, soil sampling, material sampling, etc. Collaborate with colleagues and farming partners to ensure permit compliance. Work with farmers to ensure nutrient management compliance. Conduct internal site inspections and participate in site inspections with regulatory agencies. Foster relationships within the surrounding agricultural communities of the operations and locate, build, and manage a land base for beneficial reuse of biosolids and food processing residuals on local farms. Support the environmental team to provide technical information and presentations to regulatory agencies, municipal clients, and the public as needed. Assist administrative staff with load tracking and sample analysis. Other work as directed. Qualifications Outgoing, self-starter who can create value while working independently but also on a team. Bachelors degree or higher in agricultural science, earth science, or related environmental degree. Ability to prepare and submit permit applications for regulatory approval and implementation. Knowledge of concepts, practices, and techniques used in agricultural farming operations. Knowledge of concepts related to nutrient, soil, and crop management (Nutrient Management Certification encouraged). Knowledge of regulations related to land application of biosolids or non-hazardous residuals in multiple states. Experience with obtaining and maintaining permits or approval from state agencies for land application of organic by-products such as biosolids, industrial residuals, or animal waste. Valid Drivers License with clean MVR. Ability to travel to work sites for daily work and stay away from home several times a month (as needed).
