Summary: The Residential Registered Nurse (RN) position is responsible for conducting alcohol or other drug- focused nursing assessments for clients in the residential treatment program, providing integrated nursing care that addresses substance use, mental health, co-occurring and general healthcare needs and monitoring individual client progress. The Residential RN will also monitor client self-administration of medications. Additional responsibilities include daily milieu management to provide a safe and therapeutic environment; ordering medication, supplies, counting meds at shift change, and carrying out medical staff orders. Monitor client self-administration of medications. Facilitate health education and other psychoeducational groups for clients as assigned. Daily milieu management to provide a safe and therapeutic environment; ordering medication, supplies, counting meds at shift change, and carrying out medical staff orders. Consult with clinical staff regarding client progress and nursing needs. Ensure adherence to ASAM guidelines in care determinations. Document all client clinical care in the electronic medical record in a timely manner and in accordance with agency standards, state and federal regulations, DSS and ASAM guidelines, and requirements of third-party payers. Maintain and provide appropriate information and documentation to support timely and accurate billing, and participate in utilization reviews as needed. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to on client care and progress. Attend all required internal and external trainings. Meet and contribute to agency outcomes and performance measures. Adhere to state and federal regulations, DSS and ASAM requirements, and standards of accreditation, facility licensure and funding sources. Maintain all licenses and certifications. May perform other duties assigned by supervisor.
