TUPSS is seeking a Legal Contract Supervisor (contracts administrator) to join TUPSS' legal department as a junior management-level employee. The supervisor provides support to TUPSS and UPS attorneys in the management and oversight of the TUPSS legal department matters and team members and company projects. He/She provides advice and counsel to the company's attorneys and to internal clients (e.g., Marketing, Operations and Franchise Relations). The supervisor researches information; prepares, drafts and reviews transactional documents; assists with regulatory filings; and processes incoming issues and matters. Responsibilities and Duties Contract Management: Manages and reports on TUPSS contracts, proposals and documents in a consistent manner, including tracking contract negotiations, revisions, approvals and execution Project Management: Represents the TUPSS legal department on various company project teams as a project team member and collaborates with other internal TUPSS and UPS functions on various legal matters; takes on special projects and other assignments and participates in various committees to support the TUPSS legal department and business Supervisory Duties: Manages legal specialists and administrators Administration: Prepares reports to track and monitor progress of legal matters to support the TUPSS legal department; acts as a liaison between other internal TUPSS and UPS functions and OC to procure appropriate legal advice Litigation Support: Assists with discovery responses and tracks and reports on litigation matters Knowledge and Skills Management Experience: Prior experience supervising, developing and training others; ability to manage projects throughout the entire project lifecycle Detail Oriented: Pays consistent attention to detail; efficiently draft contracts, amendments, other transactional documents and communications consistent with a style guide, using consistent language and proper grammar; takes pride in his/her work product, which must be substantially free of errors Communication Skills: Communicates in a concise, professional and business-like manner with TUPSS attorneys and other supervisors, OC, internal business clients, franchisees and vendors, among others; prepares, edits and presents PowerPoint presentations; possesses basic negotiation skills and is able to identify appropriate strategies, desired outcomes, organizational priorities and appropriate concessions Team Oriented: Functions in a team-oriented environment, sharing ideas and collaborating to maximize results, and is prepared to cover and/or assist others at times to ensure business continuity; works independently, though, with minimal supervision and is expected to achieve high-quality results Investigation and Research Skills: Proficient in identifying appropriate sources of information, conducting research and soliciting and gathering information Organizational Skills: Skilled at time management, follow-through, and organizing and tracking a significant number of matters notwithstanding distractions, interruptions and changing priorities (which requires flexibility and an openness to change) Analytical Skills: Demonstrates basic analytical and problem-solving skills Bachelor's Degree (or internationally comparable degree) Experience using Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word) Proficient in redlining and document review Paralegal certification - Highly preferred (licensed attorneys should not apply) Franchise/franchise law experience, or experience in distribution, corporate, commercial contract, family, regulatory, real estate or insurance law - Preferred DocuSign experience - Preferred UPS is an equal opportunity employer.
