Position Title: Project Engineer 1 Location: York, NE Job ID: Pay Range: $64,300.00 Annually to $75,000.00 Annually Description: Cyclonaire is a custom pneumatic conveying solutions provider that takes pride in our people and the equipment we build. The Project Engineer performs engineering design evaluations and provides technical support to design staff, Project Managers, and Application Engineers. The Project Engineer will prepare engineering designs and work specifications while contributing toward more complex aspects of a project The Project Engineer will need to be able to support their design decisions and material choices with engineering calculations and data. This role will perform working calculations relating to design solutions. Task work is generally independent while overall work is collaborative. This role will be able to carry out its functions in accordance with Cyclonaire's Core Values. Essential Functions Preliminary project details Application/process validation Equipment design constraints Develop design direction from reference equipment Piping layouts New component validation and information gathering Various mechanical engineering calculations/validations (Filter Sizing, Stress Analysis, Dead Load, Blower/Fan Sizing, Convey Line Forces, etc.) Various electrical engineering specifications (Electrical Distribution per site, Classified Area criteria, Instrumentation). Work with Mechanical and Electrical design team members to solve critical information gaps and ensure proper design practices are being followed. Verifies critical measurements (height, width, weight, etc.) are known and followed according to project requirements. Other duties as assigned Competencies: Strong understanding of 3D modeling, as well as 2D drawing software, is necessary . Must have a strong understanding of fluid dynamics and machine design. An understanding of automation and/or system sequencing is desired. Must have the ability to prioritize and manage workload while meeting critical timelines with high expectations from internal and external customers. Problem-solving and critical thinking skills are required. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required to communicate effectively with customers' staff on a professional level, exercising tact and discretion. Must be able to work in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and Microsoft Teams. Understanding of Workflow, SolidWorks, and other CAD software is desired. Education / Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Construction Engineering is required.
