Responsibilities: Own and be responsible for daily operations with Big Box retailers. Increase revenue through the implementation of sales and marketing strategies. Establish, maintain, and optimize operational processes to ensure superior customer experience and satisfaction. Learn and gain proficiency in operating systems, including Infor M3 and retailer systems like Vendor Drill, Askuity, IDM, etc. Represent Alta Forest Products as a knowledgeable, professional, and respected brand ambassador, embodying the image and values of the organization. Monitor and measure the performance of retailers against sales targets. Plan and communicate inventory movements to ensure 98% fill rates. Other duties as assigned. Previous management experience in wood products, home improvement, construction, or related fields. Ability to travel up to 20%, including attending annual conventions and sales meetings. Must demonstrate past successes in national account sales and business growth. Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, nonverbal, and presentation); able to convey strong, clear messages to target. audiences of all sizes, including co-workers, leadership, customers, and industry groups. Demonstrated planning, time management, and organizational skills. Effective interpersonal and relationship-building skills at multiple levels. Skills to manage ambiguity and lead change. Proven track record of working toward KPIs and achieving targets. Hands-on experience with CRM software. Must have strong organizational and analytical skills. Capability to maintain confidentiality in all mandated assignments. Ability to relate to and interact with internal and external customers. Proficient working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office Suite. Competence to lead and guide other (new/inexperienced) staff in the relevant specialty area. Must be able to work effectively in a team. Work Environment This role will operate in a professional office, sawmills, customer offices, and networking events. While performing the duties of this job, employees may occasionally be exposed to machinery and moving mechanical parts. This position may be exposed to noise, hazards, airborne particulates, and temperature changes in both indoor and outdoor weather conditions. This role is onsite in Chehalis, with the option for some hybrid flexibility.
