Must be able to provide own transportation to and from job sites. Must be dependable, reliable and attended work as scheduled. Must be able dig with shovel. Must be able operate hand tools and power tools. Must be proficient with soldering and brazing of copper. Must be proficient working with PEX piping and fittings. Must be registered as a Journeyman Plumber with the City of Lincoln. Pay range is $25 - $35/hr - DOE Typical work includes: Installation of supports and hangers for pipe, fixtures and equipment. Assisting with material delivery and distribution. Assembly of pipe sections, tubing and fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking. Installation of plumbing fixtures and equipment, such as sinks, tubs, toilets, water heaters, and trim. Installation of fire stopping systems. Assisting with testing of pipe systems; observe pressure gauges and repair of leaks. Soldering and brazing of copper pipe and fitting. Coordinate the cleaning and organizing of job site. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work is performed at construction sites: this includes building renovations and new construction. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in both indoor and outdoor with extreme high and low temperate conditions. The employee is exposed to fumes, odors, works at heights, may use power tools, and works with and around machinery having moving parts.
