We are seeking a scientist to support the firm's growing natural resources practice, with an emphasis on assignments working on wetland surveys, biological surveys, coordination with regulatory agencies and permitting. This role will work with a wide variety of clients and project types, from small local developments to large federal projects. Responsibilities Perform all aspects of wetland delineations, from project planning, reporting, federal and state regulatory agency correspondence, obtaining jurisdictional determinations, and obtaining 404/401 permits. Design wetland and habitat mitigation. Support NEPA and state-equivalent reports. Work cross functionally with other practice areas within the firm. Perform field work, as the sole scientist or team lead. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, Wildlife Biology, Natural Resource Management, or a related course of study. Minimum of 3 years' experience performing wetland delineations and/or biological assessments. Demonstrated experience preparing and obtaining jurisdictional determinations, 404/401 permits, and Section 7 consultations Demonstrated skills in field ecology, data analysis, writing, environmental regulatory compliance. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products: Word and Excel. Familiarity with ArcGIS a plus. Ability to travel, work in the field, work outdoors, and lift and carry items weighing up to 60 lbs. Excellent organizational and personal communication skills; ability to successfully interact with clients, staff, and peers clearly and directly; capable of functioning both independently and on a team. This position requires field work in all types of weather and terrain; flexibility and preparedness are a must. Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment physical, to include drug screen, as well as a background check.

Responsibilities will include processing and assembling data including primary and secondary reviews, and reporting findings to data users. As an ideal candidate, you have proven experience maintaining lab equipment, testing and analyzing samples, and following scientific best practices.
