Our major customers include Stellantis, Ford, GM, Nissan, and their subsidiaries. AER builds engines to OEM specifications and often exceeds original manufacturer quality standards. We are continuously expanding our product offerings and manufacturing capabilities, requiring innovative equipment, processes, tooling, and testing methods. We are currently seeking an Engineering Technician to join our Engineering Department in Carrollton, TX. This position supports manufacturing operations through engineering assistance, process improvement, tooling support, testing, and quality initiatives within a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. Compensation Annual Salary: $55,000 - $70,000, depending on experience and qualifications Responsibilities Provide engineering and technical support for remanufactured and new engine production Assist with integrating new products into existing manufacturing processes Review, update, and manage plant job instructions and documentation Review, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve assembly tooling and fixtures Support engine quality initiatives, including testing methods, testing equipment, and cold test stands Perform manufacturing process audits including layered audits, torque audits, and quality inspections Assist in identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities Communicate and collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, and engineering departments to resolve issues and achieve operational goals Support lean manufacturing and process improvement initiatives Assist with troubleshooting production and assembly issues in a manufacturing environment Qualifications Interest in automotive manufacturing and engineering technology Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Automotive Technology, or related field preferred Relevant manufacturing or automotive experience considered in place of degree Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Knowledge of lean manufacturing and just-in-time manufacturing principles preferred Strong organizational and project management skills Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn Benefits Competitive compensation Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays Career growth opportunities within a growing manufacturing organization Company Description Headquartered in Carrollton, Texas, AER Manufacturing and Sales is a world leader in the engine remanufacturing industry for over sixty years. We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented professional with hands-on experience operating and setting up CNC mills and lathes to produce high-quality precision parts. This position plays a key role in ensuring our products meet strict quality standards while maintaining efficiency and safety in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
