Location: Moody Outpatient Center 4th Floor This opening is for a Float Physician - 24 hours per week. Benefits included Primary Purpose Responsible for providing comprehensive and evidence-based healthcare for patients, including, but not limited to, problem identification, inquiry of medical history, identification of psychosocial concerns and determinants of health, relevant physical exam, medical assessment, and appropriate management/treatment of acute and/or chronic medical conditions, as well as recommended screening tests/health maintenance ensuring optimal health, decreasing complication, and expediting recovery. Skills or Special Abilities Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of the appropriate specialty practice (e.g Psychiatry, Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Jail Health) assessment techniques and treatment processes. Must be able to determine objectives, set priorities, and establish and meet target dates. Must be able to work effectively with other health care professionals and serve as a resource to the community. Must be able to demonstrate patient centered/patient valued behavior. Responsibilities 1. Patient Care a. Gathers and documents essential and accurate information about patients; makes informed decisions about diagnostic and therapeutic interventions incorporating patient information and preferences; develops and carries out patient management plans on an ongoing basis. b. Provides health care, in-person and/or virtual, and utilizes evidence-based clinical practice guidelines in the management to improve health outcomes. Virtual care is provided through the use of audio/video patient encounters, or by audio-only patient encounters. c. Counsels and educates patients and their families regarding health promotion, appropriate management of acute conditions, and self-management of chronic conditions. d. Collaborates with other health care professionals within and outside of PHHS, including community resources when appropriate, to provide coordinated patient-centered care. Interpersonal and Communication Skills e. Utilizes effective interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families and the care team. Location: Main Hospital Bldg - 2nd Floor Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA): $25,000 Sign-On Bonus Primary Purpose Administers anesthesia and anesthesia-related care from pre-anesthetic patient assessment and evaluation through post-anesthetic patient follow-up, evaluation, and care, formulating and carrying out anesthetic patient care plans in collaboration/consultation with attending anesthesiologists to facilitate quality patient care, comfort, and satisfaction during diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical procedures. Minimum Specifications Education Must be a graduate of a Nurse Anesthesia Program accredited by the Council of Nurse Anesthesia (COA) or its predecessor Experience Equivalent Education and/or Experience Certification/Registration/Licensure Must have current, valid RN license or temporary RN license from the Texas Board of Nursing, or valid Compact RN license.
