Tuition Reimbursement for College Degrees Employee Clothing Advance Fitness Reimbursement Program Employer paid Life Insurance Employee Assistance Program Employer paid Short- and Long-Term Disability Insurance Travel Assistance Program This is what we would like you to do: Develop, manage, and maintain reliable accounting information and reporting on income, expenses, assets, liabilities, and capital for management planning and decision making, and for fulfillment of financial reporting requirements. Have the competency to ensure that reports, accounts, systems, policies, and practices adhere to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Conduct special accounting studies, analyses, and special projects as requested by management. Support the credit union's mission, vision, strategic goals, and service standards. Primary Job Duties: Assist Accounting Manager & Comptroller in overseeing the day-to-day operations in the accounting department. Maintain, reconcile, and research various subsidiary ledgers with the general ledger including fixed assets, credit cards, investments, loan, mortgages, benefits, bank reconciliations, the correspondent accounts, and other general ledger accounts. Maintain complete, timely and accurate records for various GL accounts or activities of the CU and manage reporting of same. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing reports and adjustments including, monthly accruals, preparation of necessary closing entries such as depreciation, provision for loan loss and reserve transfer. Prepare financial statements and reports for Board of Directors by extracting data from multiple financial systems, sorting, summarizing, and creating charts. Understand data types in different applications and their interrelations with one another. Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvements. Support implementations of process improvements while utilizing quality tools and functions. Responsible for project development, leading and implementing projects assigned in a timely and efficient manner. Maintain procedures and support implementations of process improvements while utilizing quality tools and functions. Education/Certification: Bachelor's degree in accounting or business from an accredited college or university. Experience Required: Four years of experience in accounting. Two years' experience in reviewing and finalizing financials or project and development implementations. Required knowledge, skills and abilities: Proficient Excel and data management skills required Proficient in MS Office Including Outlook, Adobe and Word Solid understanding of GAAP Must understand full cycle of accounting from transactions to financial statements Work effectively to communicate within a team and across multiple departments Thrive in a culture of constant learning and improvement Detail oriented and well organized Perform multiple tasks with consistent accuracy.
