Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance Technician At Charter Aarrowcast, our maintenance team is the backbone of our operation, keeping everything running smoothly. They tackle a variety of challenges, from installing and maintaining equipment to troubleshooting complex problems and executing preventive maintenance plans. Weekly Schedule: On our newly created weekend shift, you will only work 3 days! Friday, Saturday, Sunday! Work only 36 hours and get paid for 40 hours! No mandatory overtime! What you'll do: Maintenance and Repair: Perform regular preventative maintenance (PMs) on electromechanical equipment. Effectively troubleshoot and repair complex problems associated with electromechanical machinery. Install, maintain, and troubleshoot hydraulic systems. What you will bring: Education and Experience: Technical Degree in related field, journeyman's card, or five plus years' related experience as an industrial maintenance technician (electrical/mechanical). Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret complex documents, operate/maintain electrical and mechanical testing equipment, use precision measuring equipment, and operate hand and power tools. Demonstrated troubleshooting skills and experience with welding/torch equipment. Physical Requirements: Frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, bending, lifting up to 60 lbs., and ability to meet physical demands with or without reasonable accommodation. Preferred Experience: Experience in commissioning and troubleshooting Allen Bradley and /or Siemens PLCs and Drives. Proven expertise in AC/DC motor maintenance, hydraulics & pneumatics. In this role, you'll handle scrap metals using a bridge crane, operate electric furnaces, and monitor alloy temperatures and compositions. You'll also perform daily equipment inspections, assist with furnace repairs, and maintain accurate production records. Molding Operator: You will Operate molding machines, assemble sand molds, and set cores for iron casting production. In this role, you'll inspect patterns, coordinate with melt and molding lines, and monitor casting quality. You'll also assist with ladle prep, equipment maintenance, and production setup. What you'll need: A high school diploma or GED (we can help through the GED Works program). Prior experience working with industrial manufacturing environments. Comfortable with basic math (like counting and simple calculations). Can communicate clearly with team members. A team player who works well with others. Can follow directions and also help guide others when needed. Good at solving simple problems on the job.
