Urgent care organization looking for a Family Medicine/Emergency Medicine Physician or Family Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant in New London County, CT. This is a Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm role! Work a total 136 hours a month, which is a combination of 12 hour and 9 hour shifts. Typically single coverage with current volume. Mondays and Tuesdays are the busiest for all sites. EPIC is the EMR for all 3 hospitals. Work both main ED and Fast-track. Group practice that will provide a competitive wage/comp package for providers. Work out of 3 EM depts at three nearby local hospitals.

Function independently while managing a personal panel of patients. Provide care to patients of all ages (5-100), with an option for an adult-only panel if family medicine training is not completed. Deliver full-spectrum primary care, including diagnosing and treating medical illnesses and making specialist referrals. Serve a diverse patient population in a community health setting, treating both routine and chronic conditions.

Lead and manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to GAAP. Oversee and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional development. Support the audit process from start to finish, serving as the primary support for the Controller, with external auditors and ensuring all schedules and supporting documentation are prepared accurately and on time. Leverage NetSuite expertise to optimize workflows, improve reporting accuracy, and enhance system utilization across the accounting function. Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses prepared by the team. With the Controller, own the accuracy of the general ledger and ensure appropriate classification of transactions. Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Supervise and mentor AP/AR Representatives, ensuring task completion and adherence to deadlines. Review journal entries and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance. Oversee cash receipt and invoice matching systems, driving automation and process improvements. Manage general ledger activities, ensuring timely month-end close processes. Primary areas include cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, leases, insurance plans, prepaids, and various accrued liabilities. Respond to audit requests and collaborate with external auditors. Contribute to system implementation projects aimed at streamlining operations.
