This is a full time permanent position with a 4-6 week orientation/training period, stock options, extensive PTO, large CME stipend, malpractice coverage, and 401k with match available from day one. Psychiatric NP - Community Health Center Division HC - Providers (Advanced Practice) Location Brooklyn, New York Employment Type Permanent Our client is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join their community health center in New York City. The Psychiatric NP will provide comprehensive mental health care under the supervision of the Medical Director or a designated physician, while also overseeing the Nurse Care Coordinator. Job Description: Compensation : $145000 - $150000 Job ID : 40855 Job Function: Conducts comprehensive history and physical examinations. Manages primary medical care for adults, addressing both acute and chronic conditions. Provides Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and Buprenorphine therapy. Assesses patient conditions, sets goals, and prescribes appropriate interventions. Documents clinical information in electronic health records. Orders and interprets laboratory and diagnostic tests. Performs direct patient care procedures. Participates in developing care standards and quality assurance programs. Coordinates medical consultations and patient transfers. Provides emergency medical care and advocates for patients. Educates patients on health promotion and disease prevention. Job Requirements: New York State licensure and registration as a Nurse Practitioner. 1 year of Experience in Primary Care, HIV/AIDS management, harm reduction, and Buprenorphine treatment.
