Based on performance and business needs, there is potential for the role to transition into a regular Hale employee position. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Selecting equipment, planning the layouts and planning the assembly of product. Lays out, positions, aligns, and fits components together. Experience in fabrication to measure and make custom beams to fit. Repairing product using welding techniques and appropriate welding equipment. Cleaning and preparing surfaces to be welded. Sets up, assembles, and welds parts accurately to weld codes. Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in fixture for welding. Sets up equipment and welds parts, using TIG/MIG on stainless steel and other materials as needed. Repairing products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts. Keeping equipment and work area clean and organized up to 5s standards. Support the Modules Assembly Team as needed/requested. Ability to work with machine shop and with machined materials keeping specified tolerances. All other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND REQUIRED ABILITIES Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to document individual work orders. Ability to speak effectively to co-workers, supervisor, and other departments to clarify work orders and blueprints. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as algebra, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Willing and able to be forklift Certified. Ability to read a tape measure and other measuring equipment. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 2-year certificate from technical school and minimum 2 years welding experience or 1-year certificate from a technical school and a minimum 2-3 years of experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
