The District Manager (DM) oversees operations that resemble managing a high-volume manufacturing facility. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Knowledge of the lifecycle and upkeep of "yellow iron" equipment, such as loaders, grinders, screeners, and windrow turners. Experience working with state environmental agencies like CalRecycle, BAAQMD, or the EPA, and an understanding of Title 14 or comparable composting regulations. Skill in streamlining the process from the tipping floor to the finished product; at a large industrial facility, any delays during intake or screening can lead to costly backlogs. Understanding of Aerated Static Pile (ASP) vs. Windrow methods. Manages the District's day-to-day operations and provides daily support to drivers in ensuring safety, service, and savings. Executes necessary precautions to ensure safety and compliance with Company, OSHA, and other standards and regulations. Ensures thorough root cause investigations for all injuries and incidents, following up with consistent coaching and retraining.
