Essential Duties and Responsibilities Customer Facing Pursue commercial sales to businesses and multifamily property management customers which present opportunities for growth as a commercial account. Opportunities will be identified in cooperation with the Director of Commercial Business, District Manager, Store General Managers, store personnel and market activities. Focused attention on growing sales with existing established commercial / business accounts through relationship based sales techniques and tactics. Utilize reporting and in-store shopping habits / frequency to maximize sales growth opportunities among this customer group. Within pre-determined guidelines the Business Development Manager will have the flexibility to establish special pricing, special orders and custom solutions as needed. Target specifically defined new commercial customer opportunities which are relevant in the market and have proven to represent significant potential of successful growth. In cooperation with local in-store teams, develop new and existing commercial accounts through a variety of marketing, events, promotions, personal visits and special selection of merchandise. Participate in all local trade shows and attend client sponsored meetings. Store Team Facing Business Development Manager will act as a conduit between our commercial customers and other store team members including the stores General Manager and sales associates. Coach, lead and train store team on best practices of business customer interaction and B2B fundamentals. Assist stores team members in developing a B2B centric focus including developing a deeper relationship with new and existing commercial accounts. Assist stores leadership in developing a culture which is supportive of commercial sales growth. Specifically, partnering with store GM and stores B2B Champion to instill an understanding of the why and how to implement recommended business to business best practices and weave the B2B strategy into the stores culture and daily operational practices. Partner with store staff to ensure B2B product needs and customer demands are met in a prompt fashion. Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned. Ensure monthly cycle counts and negative on hand reports are being completed. Verify signage is current in the entire store. Ensure ad signage and products are ready for the customers. Validate special orders and rain-checks are being completed properly. Develop and ensure compliance with all practices, policies and procedures necessary to manage inventory shrink. Monitor shrink numbers and take corrective actions when necessary. Assist and help manage direct preventative maintenance and repairs in order to maximize and protect all physical assets (i.e. building, fixtures and equipment). Provide assistance in the overall general maintenance of the store such as daily maintenance, orderliness and cleanliness of the sales floor, end caps, ad goods merchandised, stock room and outdoor merchandise areas. Perform all other duties as assigned. Store Support Operations Learn and assist with the P & L and other corresponding reports. Assist District Manager and General Manager with the budget process for sales and expenses. Assist with the management of payroll and other controllable expenses. Assist and help monitor the implementation of Store Support programs. Attend trade shows and seminars with company guidance. Train on what effective successful Loss Prevention, Safety and Internal Audits should look like for our retail stores. Assist with special projects within the district as set forth by the District Manager. Hiring and Training of Associates Assist and help lead weekly management staff meetings. General Summary The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for the overall integrity and maintenance of a store's inventory. The duties of the job require an average of 2030 hours per work week (will vary by store location) dedicated to sustaining the stores inventory integrity to ensure the right product is in the right place at the right time. Ensure all outs are researched by scanning the location using a mobile device, determining cause, and following all processes to correct the errors. Utilize all Mango reports and programs along with daily cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy. Follow defective merchandise procedures to ensure credits are received. Maintain on hand integrity throughout the store by reviewing inventory discrepancies to determine the cause of the discrepancy. Counts must be adjusted as needed after the matter has been properly researched. Maintain oversight of the following functions within store operations: price change completion, integrity of location codes, manage inventory levels, and adjustments. Coordinates store preparation for periodic full store physical inventories. Participates in all Inventory Coordinator training and consistently trains and shares knowledge with other store associates. Work with various Store Support Center departments to ensure proper inventory controls are in place. Partner with members of management to report and find solutions for inventory concerns. Complete all other inventory functions as assigned by management.
