Responsibilities: Skilled Linux based System Administrator to support DevOps team. This role requires a self-motivated individual who can collaborate with the development team, capabilities providers, and mission customers to migrate existing applications and services off legacy hardware and onto enterprise compute frameworks. Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc. Provides Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems. Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process. Configures and manages UNIX and Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance. Qualifications - External Requirements: Proven knowledge and experience with Linux Bash scripting experience Experience in the design, installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems and services Ability to collaborate with software development team to deploy, test, monitor, and operate customer applications and services Collaborate with Information System Security Engineer and Officers (ISSE/O) to conduct patching and configuration changes required to maintain existing System Security Plans (SSP) Desired Skills: VMware NetApp Puppet Networking Kubernetes, Cloud frameworks, and containerization Clearance Required: TS/SCI with Polygraph. This position requires poly, within 7 years. Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Job Summary Amentum is seeking an Facilities Maintenance Technician for the Bluegrass Chemical Agent Destruction Pilot Plant project located in Richmond, Kentucky. Typical Responsibilities Include: Perform all work safely and with the utmost concern for the safety of self and other employees. Perform all work in compliance with environmental permits and regulations. May be required to work overtime or varying hours to include shift work. Be at work when scheduled and maintain a good attendance record. Work in close proximity to and or in a chemical demilitarization facility. Performs installation, repair and maintenance of non-plant facilities, buildings, mechanical equipment, systems and components. This includes changing of light bulbs, general building maintenance, plumbing and minor repairs. Performs corrective and preventive maintenance tasks. Performs emergency repairs to non-plant related systems equipment and component Replaces worn, damaged, or failed non-plant equipment and components. Demonstrates and conducts any required inspections or post-maintenance testing of systems, equipment and components as necessary to complete work packages and ensures systems, equipment and components are returned to operational conditions. Utilizes a variety of vehicles, landscaping tools, hand and power tools in the performance of duties. Works with maintenance personnel on site after facility tasks are completed. Works in environments with elevated temperatures. Maintains accountability of property, including tools and maintenance equipment. Wears various types of personnel protective equipment in the performance of maintenance tasks. Performs preventive maintenance tasks, following predetermined checklists in the performance of preventive maintenance, as well as a wide variety of nonstandard complex tasks.
