Why This Role Matters We are seeking an experienced Banquet Captain to join our team. In this leadership role, you will serve as the on-floor coordinator for banquet and event operations, ensuring flawless execution, seamless service flow, and outstanding guest experiences. What You'll Do Maintain a high level of positive and professional communication with employees, coworkers, management, and guests. Lead and coordinate banquet service staff to ensure proper staffing levels and seamless flow of service throughout events. Conduct pre-shift briefings and provide clear direction to staff regarding service expectations, timelines, and guest needs. Maintain a strong focus on guest experience and base all decisions on exceeding guest expectations, particularly when resolving concerns or complaints. Monitor event execution in real time, ensuring all service standards, timelines, and presentation requirements are consistently met. In the absence of the Banquet Manager, serve as the primary on-site point of contact for clients, event planners, and internal departments during assigned functions. Maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs. Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, alcohol service, and company safety standards. Assist with setup, service, and breakdown of banquet events as needed. Support training and coaching of banquet team members to promote service excellence. Accurately complete event documentation, checklists, and post-event reporting. Maintain a clean, organized work area and professional appearance in compliance with uniform and grooming standards. Protect company assets and maintain confidentiality of proprietary, client, and guest information. Performs other related duties as assigned.
