Comprehensive Medical Physicist in Radiation Oncology, Interventional Radiology and Hospital Radiation Safety will be responsible for maintaining State and Federal regulatory requirements specific to the practice of radiation therapy and radiation safety at Carle Foundation Hospital. Comprehensive Medical Physicist in Radiation Oncology, Interventional Radiology and Hospital Radiation Safety provides physics support for the following four (4) hospital units at Carle Health in Urbana: (1) Carle Cancer Institute and is responsible for quality control of all three linear accelerators in the radiation oncology department; (2) Interventional Radiology for intravascular administration of Y-90 radioactive therapy for patients with liver metastases; (3) Hospital Safety Department working with radiation safety officer on implementing all radiation safety measure for the entire hospital.
