Description: The RN Admissions position is responsible for presenting VITAS services and philosophy to patients and families in a manner that results in the admission of appropriate patients. They will meet with the patient s families to discuss the VITAS program and explain the benefits of hospice care for that patient. The RN Admissions nurse will not work directly with the patient. The 24/7 Telephone Triage Nurses filter and triage all call. The Field Triage RN nurse will only see new admissions, death visits or anything that cannot be handle via telephone. They will receive their schedule and will be required to go to any of our locations to provide care for their patient. Responsibilities may include completing a RN admission, visiting a patient at an ALF, nursing home facility, home, hospital, or medical facility. The RN Runner nurse will work directly with the patient. The total amount of visits may vary per day. This position requires a medical license.
